Itching breasts driving me crazy

It started with only my left breast.  Major itching.  Thought it was laundry detergent problem but why would it only hit my left breast?  Now it's both breasts.  They itch like crazy.  NO dry skin.  no discharge.  No pain.  

I've had it for three months.  It drives me crazy.  I scratch them mercilessly and they get red welts, but I can't stop.  

Started after I took some Bactrim.  But not sure that's related.

Has anyone ever had this?  Could it hormonal?  Yeast infection? Is there a cure?  Is it cancer?  I got a mammogram 4 days ago and am waiting for results.  Breasts look totally normal.  Just intense itching on the inside.

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

It could just be eczema or an allergy but it definitely warrants having  a dr take a look. Hope all is well.

I had itchy breasts and I ended up having a yeast infection. Lamisil (the stuff for foot fungus) worked wonders and it went away pretty quickly. However, if you are breastfeeding it's probably not an option. Good luck--it almost drove me crazy too.

I used to have this and did a yeast cleanse for other reasons and it went away. I would take coconut oil internally if bfing and massage breasts with it, too if welts or irritated skin occur as coconut oil is mild but has anti fungal properties. It also helped me to go bra free as much as possible. For me it was at worst in a hot shower...?
