Boy Behavior at age 6 so how long does this last ?

Anyways, I know 'farting is natural but so many days of my son pretending that he's farting or burping anytime.

Then if he does have to fart he goes I'm going to try and fart on mommy or the cat which I wonder what gives him the idea to do that because I will be going No getting away then he still follows trying to do that .

Then he has such unmodest language when he's around me and he also has this unmodest language when he's with his friends .

He even has these sayings that I'm like where did he get that from or who did he get that from ?

I keep wondering how do I get this to stop and does any parents have boys who do that ?

When I looked at the thread title the first thing that popped into my head was, "um.....until about 24?" It is a weird boy/man thing.  They are so proud of the noises they can make and things they can do with their bodies, they can help but show off. I have noticed a significant drop in this behavior in my DS1. He has just this year (12) figured out that a)girls a pretty cool and b)girls DO NOT did stuff like this! As hard as it is to see him reaching this stage in his life, it really is a relief as well

Yeah it tends to last awhile.

My oldest is 8 and has learned when talk like that is appropriate and when it isn't.  Even my 4 year old knows when and when not to talk that way.  My advice is to redirect him to a better time or place to talk about stuff like that. 

But between the two of them, there's a lot of burp/fart/poop talk around my house.
