Yeast Infection and Metabolism?

OK I'm 38 and just got my first yeast infection last month.  That's not too bad, eh?  But now it just wouldn't go away.  My doctor already gave me the oral anti-fungal pills twice.  Each time it got better then come back again.  I'm all confused why.  It's like if I never got it before, and my diet and habits didn't change at all, why would I keep getting it now?

The only thing changed lately is my metabolism.  I've been on anti-thyroid medication for a while and I think it's brought my metabolism into the borderline/low range, for the first time in my life.  I usually have high metabolism all the time and fight off infections quickly.  Is it possible that it's caused by slow metabolism?  Am I doomed to suffer this until my metabolism pick up again?  I don't get to see my specialist for another two weeks to decide new dose.

Did anybody find any association with yeast and slow metabolism?

Never mind the above.  I'm starting to think it's not yeast at all.  I checked through lots of information about candida and it seems my regular diet is always very anti-yeast.  If the diet thing really works I should have too little yeast instead of too much.
