53 lousy cents!!!!!!!

I am so angry!!! I recieved a bounced check notice today....For 53 lousy cents....I miscaculated and now they are charging me $30 over and above that for it...

 

 

And they wonder why I am closing my account and changing banks...

Did you speak to the bank mangaer about reversing the overdraft fees? Usually they will if you don't make it a habit.

ITA with the PP.  When I've made the very rare mistake, I've just called and said, "I'm sorry about that, totally my mistake, since that hasn't happened before could you wave the fee this time?" and it's worked.  Did you try?

 

If you're not already at a Credit Union, I'd highly recommend  one!

You should have had the option to opt in or out of this at the bank. If you opt out they will refuse a charge if you don't have enough. Ofcourse that means they will have refused whatever you tried to pay for.

 

 

Did you ignore bank paperwork or opt in? You can ask the bank to reverse it this one time. But if you opt in at the new bank this will happen again if you miscalculate.
