Stink problems with Dream-Eze AIO's

I have been using dream-eze AIO's on my 12 mo DS for about 6 months now.  For over a month, we've been having stink issues, where they smell like ammonia very soon after he pees.  I've tried vinegar rinses twice but it didn't seem to help much.  Any others have issues with these dipes?  Anything that worked for you?

Our normal wash routine is:

Cold prewash with 1/2 tablespoon of Arm and Hammer Essentials Free (no enzymes, whiteners, dyes or perfumes)

Hot wash with 3/4 tbsp of same

Cold rinse

I know there are certain laundry treatments that can fight the ammonia smell directly. I want to say a cold vinegar soak is one of them, but I'll let someone more knowledgeable than me confirm or deny that. :)

You might want to try a short warm soak in baking soda before or after the prewash, and then an extra rinse with a splash of vinegar to make sure you get all the baking soda out.
