? Siggy question.

I'm going to need to update my siggy in a few days, and I can't for the life of me figure out how I am going to do that. Nowhere I look seems to give me a place to do this.

So assistance would be happily received and result in a patented MusicianDad hug.

To change your siggy go to "My Profile" which is in the dark purple bar at the top of the page.

Then scroll waaayyy down all the way

And just FYI: Because smilies aren't expected to be fixed until Monday-ish, the smilies in signatures will still be glitchy until then, too. So it's not you!

Wondering if we have a limit on how long the siggy can be since I am missing a big chunk of mine at the end. I know there isnt supposed to be a smile limit but not whether there is a limit on text??

Ok, something that has been on my mind off and  on since I got to MDC. How exactly is it determined that someone has two lines, more than two lines, less than two lines? It doesn't concern me much, but since there is a wide variety of screen sizes, a signature that is two lines on one persons screen might be three on another persons.

The software actually counts the letters/number/smiles and calculates the 2 line limit or that is how it used to be on the old format so I am guessing the same will be true here.

If you type into your siggy box and it is longer than 2 lines when you hit save or preview it will cut off the part that is to long it used to tell you.

It was to long but now it just makes it the right size by removing what goes over. Not sure if that will change but that is what is happening right now.

My siggy is currently exactly 2 lines long not a single other character will fit but then that might change once the smile code is working again for siggy's

I don't know what the exact limit is but if you want to see how many characters the system is accepting in a signature you can fill your signature line up with characters and then copy and paste it here and find the character count: http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/script2/charcount.shtml

I still can't add smilies into my signature.  Any idea when this will be fixed?  I see lots of signatures with smilies in them.  Any idea why it won't work for me?

Im not seeing a purple bar with profile on it.  i can see my profile and edit some aspects of it if I hit my user name in a post but still cant find where to edit sig

You cannot see this at the top of the page?

 If you cannot see that then that is something that needs to be looked at. What O/S and Browser are you using?
