Can babies drop twice?

I am 38 weeks on Tuesday and 3 weeks ago I woke up and he had definitely dropped. This morning he seems a lot lower again. Can they drop significantly twice. I don't remember DD ever dropping at all, but I was induced with her at 42 weeks so she might have just been floating the whole time. So the response I am looking for is something like, "yes, that happened to me and then I had a really easy birth later that day."

DDCC - Well I can't say I went into labor but I think mine 'dropped' twice.  The first time was around 33 weeks and he moved out of my ribs.  The second time was about a week ago (almost 36 weeks) and I can start to feel the pressure down low.  I'm not sure if he's actually engaged but there's a pressure that wasn't there before.
