What are your joys? What are you thankful for?

We have a thread to vent our frustrations, now I would like to start a thread to share our joys and what we are thankful for.

My daughters smail is my joy.  We do not get to see it often, but when we do it makes my day.

I am thankful for my daughter's life.  No one thought she would live, but she is my little warrior.  I am also thankful for a DH who is active in her care and involved in her therapy.

I am so thankful for my son's helpfulness. He is an amazing little helper and desires to help with everything. The dishes, baking, cooking, cleaning ...you name it. :) He's so sweet. I am thankful for every lil kiss, hug and snuggle. He's precious and such a great big brother. What a wonderful son I have!

Easy!  We celebrate DS's uniqueness and charm all day, every day.  Just yesterday I thanked one of his teacher aides after she gave me (another) glowing report on his morning, and she replied that she's "just in love with DS." and another aide chimed in with "We all are in love with your son."  I think that says a lot about my DS's personality, skills, qualities, everything, that these women work with SN and NT kids all day every day, but they've identified MY SON as the one to fall in love with.  Proud mama?  You betcha!

I appreciate the small things about having a baby now. I'm grateful that my son can pee because he has spina bifida and we were told he would need life-long catheterization. He peed all over me in the hospital and I was so excited! I'm grateful for the opportunity to understand how to treat people who are different. I love seeing how determined my son is. He is a fighter and we are so proud of him. He's so young that he doesn't have any concept of what he can or can't do or what he should or shouldn't do. He doesn't let any one define him. every day we thank God for the privilege of having such a special little boy to raise.

I am grateful that I have my son, I wouldn't want to live life without him.

I love his smiles, his hugs, his kisses, the moments where he expresses his luv for me out of the blue.  He tells me that I'm pretty, he likes to spend time with me.  He wants to sleep and cuddle with me at night.  He comes to me with his boo boos, his hurts, his dreams.  He loves to dance and make people laugh. He is entertaining and funny. 

I'm thankful that he can talk, express emotion and share his thoughts.

He brings me joy and purpose.  Without my little sunshine, life would be empty.
