So remind me...

....that's it's not that big of a deal that baby is breech at 29 weeks, 3 days.  I know this logically, that there is plenty of time for her to turn, and things I can do to encourage her, but just remind me anyway. :)

There is PLENTY of time to turn!  Right now she's probably working out her muscles getting stronger in the position that currently gives her the most space.  Mine wouldn't settle head down until about 34 weeks and he still keeps turning from posterior to anterior!

Oh, yes, that is plenty of time!  My last kid thought it was fun to torture me by being breech (which is SOOO uncomfortable!) up until week 32, I think it was, before she turned.  But that certainly wasn't any problem, since she wasn't born until 39 weeks.:-)

Some babies will actually turn during labor (my sister did), so please try to set aside some of that worry.:-)

a baby can usually turn easily until 34 weeks, and after that may need some extra help (though lots turn after that too). I'm vaguely remember a statistic that 80% of babies that are breach at 30 weeks have turned by 37 or something, but don't know if I'm remembering it correctly or where I read it.

You've got lots of timesmile.gif  My DS2 was breech up until 37 weeks...well I should say he kept flipping back and forth...crazy kid.  I just started going to a chiropractor that did Webster technique starting at about 31 weeks.

Thanks ladies.

My daughter was head down by this point and more or less stayed that way.

But I'm pretty sure she flipped today anyway, so I guess she's just exploring her boundaries.  She had the hiccups today and they were focused very low down in my belly, so I'm pretty sure she's not head up anymore.

Mine just turned at 30 weeks and a few days. Latest one yet! He was making me start to worry, but I woke up one morning and I didn't have a head poking out of the side of my belly anymore. LOL. My OB confirmed that he was definitely head (waaaaay) down at my last appt.

lots of time

I'm also at 29 weeks. An in utero baby this age is only about 2.5 pounds, so still has plenty of room to move. Mine still moves around quite a bit, sometimes kicking my ribs & at other times kicking my lower pelvis. I'm not at all worried.

She was totally head down at my midwife appointment today.

But we agreed for her to try and get a check on position at my coming appointments so that we're aware if she does decide to go back to head up.

Yes, yes, and yes!  I go to a chiropractor anyways due to a car accident nearly a year ago, but at the same time, before I selected this chiropractor, I made sure ALL of them were aware of and knowledgeable on the Webster technique.  Thanks to phathui5 for all the wonderful information she shares.  :-)  I wouldn't have known about it otherwise - and granted, I'm only 21 weeks right now, but still.  And Chiropractors are WONDERFUL beings.
