Hi friends!

I'm just checking in.  With moving, my long annovulatory cycle last time, and being bitter lately, I haven't been stressing too much about TTC.  I am now what I believe is 1dpo unless my sore throat has seriously elevated my temp.  I hope you are all doing fantastic and I look forward to participating in this forum a bit more now.

ETA- I forgot I was going to ask this.... If I'm on the pill and it's already messed up, is there any point in temping or not really? I was kinda curious and thinking I might start just so I can get some sort of idea on HOW to do it but I don't know if there's really any point. Today starts week 2 of this pack of pills. But on week 4 I won't take the week off for AF, I'll start a new pack instead (to get AF on track so she shows up a week before we go on our honeymoon/wedding and not during our wedding/honeymoon). Should I just wait until the new year to even think about temping?

Cross-posting from this weeks testing thread (and will probably put it in its own thread...because I'm slightly psycho).

So I had a regularly scheduled chiropractor appt on Friday (7DPO) with my super-earthy-crunchy chiro that I adore. I started seeing her when I was preggo, and she did an awesome job of doing light uterine manipulation to turn the baby and get him off of my hips! (Point...she's experienced and qualified to do that sort of thing). I had asked her a few weeks ago when I should let her know if I get pregnant. She said, "Well, honestly, I will probably know....but there aren't any contraindications with a normal pregancy and chiroprctic." Ok, fair enough. So I go on Friday, and tell her that my hips/pelvis have been feeling really closed. She laid me on my stomach and was checking me over, and says, "Are you guys trying?" "Yeah." "Hm. Are you keeping track of your cycles?" "Yup, always have."  So she flips me over and tells me that she wants to check my uterus. So she does, and says, "Hm. Feel that?" I did - there was less resitance when she pressed on the left side. She tells me that my uterus is off to the left, which would explain why my right hip was bothering me. She also said that it can have an affect on conception. Anyway...so she moves it (really gently - barely any pressure), and shows me how to do it at home. Side note - my hip/lower back pain is now gone. The human body is so cool. I go home, and because I am a research geek, I start looking it up. Bad move. Now I'm nervous because I didn't tell her I was past ovulation (she didnt ask) and from what Ive read, you shouldnt have abdominal massage done after ovulation. But I trust her, so maybe just moving it gently doesn't make a difference? I emailed her but havent heard back yet. Any thoughts??

I asked this on the last page without realizing it was about to end so I'll ask again. I've seen people recommend taking B6 as part of a B complex.  Would that help with low progesterone and is it worth it if I'm already taking prometrium? My luteal phase is good (13 days) but my overall progesterone level is too low after ovulation and it fluctuates too much (my temps dip a lot below the coverline even after ovulation).  Would B6 help with the progesterone and just with overall fertility in any way? Thanks!

motray36- I too have a super crunchy chiro I started seeing in pregnancy (breech baby) who specializes in women, children, pregnancy, and fertility (with reiki!!!!! yay). I would be optimistic that she knew what she was doing.....hopefully she will get back to you soon.

AFM- AF didn't come yesterday, or today. I am off to the store in a hour or two to buy a test. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!

I hate to ask, but could someone who is experienced with FF have a look at my chart please?  I'm almost positive that it's wrong (and that I did actually O on CD14 when I expected to) - but I'm not worried about that.  Can someone tell me please what the Stats numbers mean?  I can't find any info on it, and I'm curious! (I'm such a nerd...  lol)  It's giving me a 5 on CD 23 and a 4 on CD 24?

I have another question about the B complex, do you take it all cycle or just certain days?

So, I sort of felt like I went off the deep end last week after I found out how low my progesterone was! I convinced the OB to give me a prescription for Promitrium and DH even agreed we should spend the money on it even thought insurance wont cover it. Then on Friday AF showed up a day early, which has not happened since one of my first PP cycles. I always have 11 day LPs, almost to the hour! It got me thinking that even though in all my cycles I do have symptoms of low progesterone maybe this month was just extra low for some reason it my levels month to month are not always that low. DH and I have spent a lot of time talking about it and we are not going to do the promitrium just yet. I am going to try to eliminate some stress, talk to my chiropractor, maybe try some acupuncture and focus on nutrition and see what happens. I have been researching some holistic approaches on the internet, but all the info out there can sure make your head spin pretty fast! Can anyone explain to me what the soy ISO does?

Also, I am excited to hear a couple of you are testing or gearing up to test! I can not wait to see some BFPs!

Steph -- I would go ahead and start temping... I don't know how much it will tell you right now but it will get you used to doing it and get you in the habit for when it is time to start :)

motray -- I'm willing to bet it will be okay... I'm sure she knows what she is doing. I can't imagine if it was that gentle that it would be that big of a problem. Heck, I was kicked right in the uterus when I was newly pregnant with my son and it didn't cause any problems so I'm sure that won't either.

Callie -- I'm thinking if you are already taking prometrium that the b6 may not be too helpful. I'm not sure if it's helpful with progesterone or not.. I don't really know how it works to lengthen the LP. Is this your first month with the prometrium? If so, give that some time and see how it helps first before adding something else. If it's not and you are concerned that it's not doing it's job, go ahead and try it... it can only help. :)

karma -- Good luck! I hope you get your BFP!

AFM: Did not get my b6 or EPO... think I'm just going to use mucinex for CM since I already have it on hand... and I'm not TOO concerned with my LP so going to hold off on the B6 for now. Will get OPKs closer to O so I won't be tempted to POAS too early, lol. So the kids and I have been making ornaments for the tree this year all day. We've done Lightbulb ornaments, Applesauce ornaments, wooden ornaments and will be stringing popcorn this week. We always put our tree up Thanksgiving night. Our tree this year is about 4 times bigger then we normally have so we need to have LOTS of ornaments to make up the difference, lol. I'm such a Holiday Geek! I'm so glad it's almost time... my 2WW will be so busy this month with all the preparations and stuff I do for the Holidays! All I need now our the lights for outside! I'm so excited!

This thread moves sooo fast I cannot keep up!  I think, ok, I'll reply to that question and the next post is exactly what I was going to say.. 

Musicoholic.. I looked at your chart.  To me CD 9 is a pretty early O date, but I can't see any of your previous charts. So maybe that is normal for you?  You got a lot of BD'ing in.. so not for nothing, it looks like you covered your bases.  I'm so not an expert though, FF changed my O date twice this month.  Which reminds me technically I am in the TWW.  I say technically because of my low iron levels (hard to conceive with levels like mine) and poor timing.  

I would trust my "super crunchy chiro" about anything (more than my MD - that's for sure).. and I agree, she would know if I was pregnant before I POAS and got a BFP.  So I think you're safe Motray!  A strong baby embryo can live through a lot.. so I hope you won't let that worry continue.  

Karma - I'll be sitting on the edge of this chair hoping for a BFP!

Stevi - bummer, but as usual -  you impress me with your attitude and bright side humor!

StephandOwen - I think it might be worth it to try temping. It would help you get in the habit of doing it, you would get an idea what what normal temps are for you, and you would have something to compare with when you go off the pill! Good luck with your wedding by the way, you must be excited that it is coming up so soon!

callieollie - I'm not an expert but I think B6 might help even if you are already taking prometrium. The reason is that B6 helps fix whatever is causing you to have low progesterone, while prometrium helps compensate for the fact that you have low progesterone. An example is say your oven is broken. You could order in food which solves the immediate problem (you need to eat) but the oven would still be broken. Or you could call a repairman and get them to fix the oven, which would probably take longer and be more complicated, but after that you no longer need to order in! It's kind of a silly example but that is how I understand things... the B6 would fix the root problem so that eventually you may no longer need the prometrium. But again, I'm not an expert!

NishaG - I wanted to check out your chart but the link only sends me to your ticker!

karmamamaa -

musicoholic - stats gives you the days it expects you to O (in green) or get AF (in red) based on when these things happen in prior cycles. I have never gotten the little numbers in that row, but I think its a countdown of the number of days until FF recommends you take a pregnancy test!

musicoholic I also think you O'd cd 14.

The 5-4-3-2-1 stats thing is your countdown to AF based on past cycles average I think... I pretty much ignore it.  

You might not get clear crosshairs without CM and/or CP to help confirm O with somewhat shaky temps.  It will really help if you do add those signs.  You could play around with putting in fake cervical CM signs around day 12-14 and see if it changes the crosshairs.  Basically FF is just being weird about your temp jump earlier which is pretty dramatic before O for Celsius.  Who knows why you got an odd couple of temps?  But the reason isn't that you O'd early IMO.

I gotta say this thread is huge!!  I am having a hard time remembering who said what and who was about to go POAS etc etc  lol  All this talk about temping is giving me the itch to start temping again.... but I don't know how well it would work when I work night (aka graveyard) shifts.  Anyone have experience with that?  Sometimes I work days, then evenings and sometime nights!!!  lol

I was going to start temping and taking a B-Complex this cycle (Currently CD4), BUT my DH went out last night while I was sleeping and spent $145!!! Ugh, I'm so mad at him. We haven't talked at all today.

I also think I may have a UTI, another reason my periods may be screwed up. I have no pain, but I'm peeing more and I have a ton of CM, which I shouldn't have this early in my cycle. I had one at this time last year and the only symptoms I had are the ones I just described, so I'm going to call the doctor tomorrow. Blah.

I'll also have a Turkey baby if we get pregnant this cycle. Wee!
