What do you guys take for prenatals?  I need one without iron.  I have been taking Life Extension multi, but I think it has too high a value for lots of stuff.  Since I'm now in my first 2WW, I'm getting a little paranoid about everything.

Lurking....

for those that asked about the b6/low progesterone/prometrium...

I responded to someone in another post about my experiences with it (six LONG years with it!)

I'm 6dpo today.  Super nauseous.  Anyone get nausea this early before?  I've been pregnant five times and never had it this early!  (not thinking I'm pregnant...pretty sure af will start in the next few days!)

mingus: I think you'd be fine to temp even with irregular sleep patterns. If you often get up around 5 to pee and then go back to sleep for an hour or so, I'd temp at the 5am wakeup. But don't stress out if you can't temp at the same time every day. It will make your temps a bit inconsistent, but you should still be able to see the overall pattern, and that's what's important. My DH works shift work and his schedule is about as erratic as they come! I still learn a lot from temping even when my schedule is insane because of his.

AFM: No spotting yet today. It's almost 7pm. I'm afraid to test, afraid to start spotting, afraid of a temp drop tomorrow. Such a chicken. I'm not sure if I'm afraid of the test being BFN or BFP :)

Hi, ladies... CD5 today. I started Natural Super B-Complex today. It only has 2mg (100%) of B6 in it... ? Is that okay? It's got Vitamin C, B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, Folic Acid, Biotin, and Pantothenic Acid. It claims to be a dietary supplement.

My prenatals also have 2.6mg (104%) of B6 in it... As well as Vitamin A, C, D, E, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Folic Acid, B12, Calcium, Iron, and Zinc.

How's all that sound?

I check CM and CP now (but I'm hardly a pro), and I've been off BC only for 6 weeks, so I don't have much of a current pattern going. I'm not sure temping makes a lot of sense for me because I never sleep all the way through the night. I'm usually up to pee at least once (between 4 and 5:30 usually) and often 2-3 times overnight. I get up between 6 and 6:45 most days, so I never have a long stretch of sleep before I wake up for the day. Would temping be at all reliable with a sleep situation like this? I'm debating whether to try OPKs this month so I have more of a clue where I am in my cycle, but I may wait till next month.

I wish I could keep up with this thread better. My days are so full lately. Anyway, I wanted to say hi and my fingers are crossed for everyone in the 2WW.

I think you could try temping when you get up to pee at 4 or 5. See what kind of pattern you get. Some women are lucky and get a really clear thermal shift regardless of their sleep pattern. it can be very helpful at pinpointing O moreso than CP or Cm alone so it's worth a shot? Good luck!

That link doesn't seem to work, it just takes me to last week's fabulous one thread.

From what I have read, the minimum dose of B6 that can help lengthen the LP is 50mg. I am taking 200mg. I doubt 2mg of B6 will do much.

heidi, scroll down to post 158 in that thread from last week.

Ugh!  I don't know what is going on with my body!  A/F was supposed to start 4 weeks ago, but instead I had 3 straight weeks of spotting.  Every.single.day.  Finally, A/F started a week ago.  VERY weird.  Heavy flow one moment, almost gone the next, back to heavy flow the next day.  Today is supposed to be CD6, counting from the first day of flow instead of spotting.  And there is still intermittend heavy flow.  What the heck!   This is so not normal for me.  :(

So then what do you suggest?

Thanks everyone for the responses about the B6. I went again and got a B complex so now I am taking 50 mg of B6 (well, 52 to be exact since my multivitamin has a little in it).  Bright yellow pee is normal, right? That just means I'm getting rid of some excess B vitamins?  I'm feeling really hopeful this month, which is better than the complete hopelessness I was going through before thinking I'd never have another baby again but I seem to be swinging to the other side and am afraid I'm going to be super disappointed if I don't get pregnant this month.  I'm just already seeing some positive changes in my cycle.  My cycles have always been pretty good with a good length luteal phase (13 days) but up and down temps due to up and down levels of progesterone.  But this cycle, I had no cramps at all (I sometimes have mild to moderate ones), AF was lighter than usual and looks like it's going to be shorter than usual too, and my last luteal phase of my last cycle (the first one on the progesterone) had great temps. So I'm hoping that got my body all ready for a baby and that this cycle will be it!  fingersx.gif and praying.gif

If you're talking about flourescent, neon-yellow pee?  Then yes, it's normal nod.gif  I've been taking a B-complex for as long as I can remember, simply for the energy benefits.  My DH and one of his buddies had a BIIIIIIIIIIIG night a few years back, and I gave them both a tablet with their breakfast (cos it helps me cope better with the aftermath as well...)  The buddy went home mid-morning....  and phoned back mid-afternoon "WTF did your wife do to me???"  He was absolutely hysterical.....  and he's a nurse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ROTFLMAO.gif

So we get there, to find out that Denby has discontinued our pattern! ARGH! The store was really great and let us decide on a new pattern. So we got 4-4piece dish sets and also a teapot. I LOVE THIS TEAPOT! It's sitting on the table beside me with Holiday Chai tea in it, and I'm absolutely adoring it. I've wanted a nice teapot for longer than I can remember and I finally have one. So excited :)

awwww...  now you've got me wanting a teapot again!!!  I've been looking at them for AAAAAges, but always talk myself out of it because I never finish a pot.  Come to think of it, that's a pretty dumb mentality...  I have a mega-sized mug I use for green tea (3 teabags worth!!)...  because with GT I don't mind if it gets cold.  Now, why couldn't I do that with a teapot?  lol

Mmmm...... chai tea....  yummy.gif

My DS is the same.  He's been asking for a sibling since he was 3.5 (even wrote a letter to Santa asking!!! love.gif)

Scary thing is...  My first early m/c he knew before I did.  He told me I had a baby in my belly (5 days later we lost it...  he was quite sad all day, but couldn't tell us why greensad.gif).  And yep - now he's asking more and more often  (he keeps changing his mind on whether he wants a boy or a girl though...  lol)

...  I'm trying honey, really I am!

My DS2 did the same?  We never told him about the m/c, but, he seemed to know.

I got up the neve to test this morning. It helped that my temp jumped up .2 degrees.

Living -- Waiting on your news!!! So excited for you... hope this is IT! FX!!!

mingus -- I have the same problem... I get up at 4:00 am every morning because I can't make it through the night without peeing so I set my alarm for 4 and take my temp then... Sometimes I go back to bed, sometimes I don't. It doesn't seem to affect my temperatures. :) I think you'll do fine to temp when you get up to pee.

Jilly -- thanks for the info on b6... I didn't know WHY it worked but I knew it did for a lot of people. I tried it once but wasn't very consistent about it... might try it again next cycle. Although I think my LP is okay for the first time EVER since TTCing. 12days... with DD, it was 9-10 days. This is where my hope lies that maybe, just maybe, it will be easier this time around... but I doubt it.

I don't know if this soy will do it what it's supposed to for the 2nd half of my cycle.... but I certainly like what it's doing to the first half of my cycle. My temps are going DOWN into the temps I only get 4 or 5 days pre-O already at CD7... FF has a hard time figuring out when I O'd because my pre-O temps are usually not that far off what my post-O temps are except those 4 or 5 days right before O... Today I am down to 96.9 which is usually what I get RIGHT before Oing... If they stay this low, maybe, just maybe I'll get a nice clear shift for O :) Yay! Ohhh and I'm already getting watery CM! WOOHOO! Now I just have to make nice with DH tonight to get started on our BDing because I was suuuuuuuper mean to him last night. Not sure if that was because of the soy or if I just like being mean. :-D

I see the line! And I can read the word pregnant! jumpers.gif Congrats, LivingSky!

Thanks to those who replied on my temping question. I took my temp when I got up at 5 this morning. I think I need a better thermometer (mine always reads cold, I was 97.4 this morning), but I'm excited to start.

A2E: I was super mean to DH my first month on soy. It was awful and I couldn't seem to stop myself. It tapered off after the first month though.

Thanks for the congrats, A2E and mingus! I'm still in shock. So is DH. This will be the first for either of us. I texted my mom and told her right away (it was 3am where she is) and DH told his mom too. Now we're going to hold off telling anyone else until Christmas. If all looks well by then we'll be about 2 months along, so I'll feel comfortable telling people.
