Tinnitus

Hey all, just curious if you've ever experienced tinnitus during pregnancy or any other time. I've never had it before, but I've had a dull ringing in my left ear since last night at 7pm. I even had a hard time falling asleep because it was annoying. I've read it can be a symptom of almost any ear problem, but also anemia and thyroid disease(I have hypo). I also have sinus problems almost daily, which could be a cause. I normally don't run to the doctor for just anything, but its getting so annoying, and unless I find out what the cause is, I won't know how to treat it properly, you know? Anyone know of any home remedies I could maybe try first? I don't know if this helps at all, but it seems to be loudest when it's completely quiet, or when I hear a loud sound, it gets louder.

I wish I could help but can only offer sympathy.  I started to get tinnitus in my first tri with DS 2 yrs ago and it never fully went away after birth.  It did get to the point where I did not notice it for the past year unless I was really sleep deprived.  Now that I am pg again, I have started to notice it and it gets bad when I am stressed or exhausted.  It does not help that my 15 mo toddler is in a wonderful screaming phase.  Acupuncture and shiatsu have helped, homeopathy did nothing.  My dr. did not seem concerned and I have no thyroid or anemia probs.
