I think my 8 month old would eat whole books if we let her! But I'm curious for gift-giving reasons (for a 12 month old). We've got these "Indestructibles" books which are great, and I wonder if they'd be a good gift for an older babe.

My 10.5 month old still loves chewing on paper for sure! It's funny you mention the "Indestructibles" books as I just discovered them this weekend! I think they are fabulous and would be great for older babies too! Even if they grow out of chewing on paper, they still don't get to play with real paper books for a while because the pages tear if they don't know to be gentle. And the pictures are so nice I'm sure older babies would enjoy them for that reason too.

Same here! I asked for something like these for my DS but ended up receiving board books. He couldn't tear them, but he was able to gnaw pieces off of them so not ideal. These are perfect to ask for my 4 mo. DD's Christmas gifts since she really doesn't need anything else and DS destroyed the board books that he had received. Thanks again!
