I use sea salt that has naturally occuring iodine in it. I got it online. I can get up and look up the name if you're interested... it's on the other side of the house.
Hmm, I don't know...But I'm a MN momma of a child with a corn allergy. Couldn't resist saying hi! We figure if we eat shrimp about once a month, that should cover us for iodine.
Wait, salt has corn? Seriously? I've been dealing with corn for 3 years and never knew this! Point me to more info, please?
Most iodized salt has some sort of anti-caking agent, often a corn derivative. Check out your salt- I bet you it has more than just "salt" in the ingredients! ;)
I have sea salt, not sure how it compares to celtic but I will get celtic. Looks like if you eat 1/4 tsp of Celtic Brand grey sea salt (I eat at least that much) per day you get the rda for iodine (and I realized the us rda is probably low).
