i know you said pt is $400 an hour. that is seriously a lot of money. we've paid less per hour for a neuropsych workup out of pocket! (Not much less...but still!)

anyway...if you get a chance sometime in the next several months you could consider calling around to see if you can hire a pt to come out and teach your daughter to use the walker. you can take notes and even do a video with your phone. that way, if she ever needs it you will know how to use it. it's not at all intuitive like you would guess. used properly. the walker can help her through the rough times while she regains strength. i know my daughter's balance seemed to improve after her walker experience.  if you call your local school district's special ed department there's a good chance they can tell you who to contact for help with that.
