Resolved: How do I stop the emails?

Thread Starter

I'm getting daily "updates" on all the threads I subscribe to in my email.  I actually usually check MDC before I get to my email anyway, so the updates are actually out of date by the time I see them.  They are just making my already too full email box that much  fuller. How do I turn this feature off?

First go to "My Profile" in the purple field at the top of the page.

Then click "Edit Account Details"

From there scroll down a bit to see this

You will want to edit it to say "Site Only (No Email)" in the dropdown box. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Save."

Thanks.  I made  the changes, so hopefully there won't be any more emails tomorrow.

The emails are still coming. I got one yesterday and today.

Any more suggestions?

hi!

You might check underneath the post box that it says "site only" if that isn't the issue then that might be something that will need to be looked at

The software might also still be holding some of your old subscriptions, not realizing you don't want them anymore. So just in case...

Try clicking Subscriptions at the top right of any page -

Then on the page it takes you, to click Edit My Subscriptions -

It should have a list of everything it thinks you want to know about in there. For instance part of mine looks like -

There are a few ways to deal with subscriptions. If I just wanted to change the frequency of a few of mine, I could use that drop down menu that says Immediate. Or if I want to get rid of just a few, I can click the xremove button on the right of each one. However, I have a ton of subscriptions, so if I wanted to edit them all or get rid of them all, I'd go further down the page on the left to --

And then I would change the left drop down to All and right drop down to a different frequency or to Delete, and click Go.
