What size play silks should I get?

I am going to buy some white ones and then dye them.  What are the best sizes to get?

They have so many sizes.  Do I get square ones, rectangle ones?  My son is 5 and honestly I have no idea what he will do with them.  But he has been setting up hideouts with our rockband drums and I can just see him draping a scarf over it.  :) 

So I guess the bigger the better? 

How many should I get?

We have about a dozen of the 30" X 30" sqaures.  From here :

They've been great.   I dyed them when my 5yo was a baby and her and my 1 yo still play w/ them every day.  I have one really big regtangular one that I found at a thrift store and that gets some play for forts and such but the smaller squares are seem to be the perfect size for most everything.
