drying tricks for bamboo and hemp? too stiff

I use some bamboo fitted's for nighttime and hemp liners in our pocket diapers. I love line drying our diapers, or on an inside rack on rainy/cold days. I prefer not to use the dryer as I know it's not gentle on elastics. I just don't enjoy how hemp and bamboo feel after being line dried - stiff. the dryer makes them so soft. Any hints on how to make them softer without much dryer use? I sometimes get them almost dry on the line then give them a fluff in the dryer - only strategy I can think of.

I only have hemp inserts, but with all of my diapers (unless it's really hot outside), I put them in the dryer for 10 minutes and then line dry inside or outside, weather depending.  Everything dries soft.  You may want to experiment with your diapers and dryer to see how long they need to be in the dryer to avoid getting crunchy.  I'm not much help, but nothing else has worked for me.

Hemp just gets crunchy over time.  I dry my inserts in the dryer totally and they are still crunchy and rough when they come out.  We have hard water so that might have something to do with it as well.

I line-dry all my diapers but I always dry my hemp in the dryer for that reason. As long as my hemp is dried in dryer it is nice and soft :)
