40 weeks! and every time I think I've dropped a bit, I put on these jeans, and realize, yeah, no. If my *regular* jeans fit and button, I am still carrying DAMN high!! these fit until the end with Z as well (and a few other pairs! its ridiculous) of course last time I thought it was cool, since it was before my 72 hour labor with him now I am just hoping its a tad faster but my babes seem to want to cling to my ribs until the last second!!!

That's what happens to me too, seafox. This baby seems low but my others didn't drop until pushing and their labors could also be measured better in terms of days instead of hours.

PS You are not going to go through that doughy chubby post partum stage!!!

Wow, you look so great! My babies usually stay high till I'm pushing them out too. This little guy played tricks on me up till the very end though. I actually did drop and carry him very low towards the end, but then he moved back up in the birth canal once my water broke. He was malpositioned with his head not tucked and had to back up and start again. He ended up coming out fine though and descended extremely rapidly once he figured out the right position.

HOLY COW!! Girl, no wonder you're having to restrain yourself from running! LOL - Putting the two of us side by side is SUCH an illustration of "everyone's different!"

what is crazy though, is I still get totally the range of comments - half of the people who I ask when I'm due say, 'really?!! but you are so small! or so mobile! or still biking?!' but then seriously, the other half do say 'you look ready to pop!' or 'you are so ready' or 'that babe is ready to come out', etc. And these are folks I KNOW have seen fully term pregnant women (wife, daughter, etc) who were way bigger than I am, even.

so yeah, its weird. Evidently very subjective! But as much as carrying high makes pregnancy easier, its not necessarily great for labor I'm hoping all of you are right though, and I drop fast in labor this time! my ob/gyn did say it should go faster, but even twice as fast is still 36 hours I'd take that though!


comparing, I actually am smaller than I was w/ Z at 40 weeks. He was only 7.5lbs at 11 days late, also. I actually did get a lot bigger last time between 40 and 41, also. So this is making me think Ill go late, I think my babes do grow in those last few 'post' weeks!

That is so funny that you still get all the silly comments! More funny weird/surprising than funny haha, lol, but you know what I mean.

All these belly pics are making me nostalgic...first that we never did get any artsy ones (we did get pics with the older kids a couple of times, though, which is better than we did with pregnancy #2 :P) and second that I'm not going to be taking any more belly pics...we are done at 3.  I'm cool with that but a little sad (and also happy at the same time, LOL) that the big belly will be no more.

My last ever belly pic, taken 97 minutes before DD was born.  *sob*

i love that you got a belly shot during labor bluepetals!  i've taken so many this week thinking that each might be the last :)  and we're stopping at 2 so my big belly will be no more... it is bittersweet:)

40 weeks!

Which means my progression picture is ALL DONE! From the day I got my positive pregnancy test (12dpo) to 40 weeks....
