breadmaker that isn't nonstick?

anyone know of one?  I'm just not a good breadmaker, and really want the convenience of a breadmaker, but don't want chemicals.  i know i should suck it up and get better at kneading, etc. but I'm just not good at it, and really would love to set a timer and wake up to warm tasty bread.

I've been wondering about this too. Ditto for an electric griddle and rice cooker.

I have no idea about the bread maker, but I do have a stovetop cast iron griddle from lodge that I love more and more with more use :p It makes wonderful pancakes/fried eggs/french toast/grilled cheese/etc on one side and works pretty good for 'grilling' inside too :) And it works quite well to make nice big square pizzas :D

If youinvest in a stand mixer to do the kneading for you you get a multiuse product and don't have to deal with the non stick issue.

This is the reason I stopped using my breadmaker, too. Now I use my kitchenaid stand mixer or just do it by hand. I have had excellent results with the food processor, too, but am in need of a new workbowl for it and haven't decided if the money would be better spent on a new fp instead. I really miss the convenience of the breadmaker, though!

Yes you can get plain, uncoated stainless steel griddles and also cast iron griddles for your stovetop. You can also get the uncoated stainless for rice cookers. Just no breadmakers, boohoo! :-(
