dancing carseat videos on the news

Thread Starter

So, I saw on the news (it was a yahoo link to some news station) a few clips of babies in their carseats dancing. So cute right? The chest clip was all the way down on the kids belly in both videos.

It annoys me because now parents who don't know better are seeing other children whose parents don't know better and reinforcing that this is wrong. And I don't know if there is anything you can do, I think they are on YouTube, but even if I did comment I don't know that they would even be read of taken seriously.

OK here's the video

I believe I saw the same clips. I even scrolled down to see if there was a place to comment. Sadly, there are tons of similar videos on YouTube and I think comments about safety tend to fall on deaf ears.

I wish DD's chest clip was a bit higher, but what are you gonna do?  And, I know better.   It just happens.  My little sister took this video when DD was 12 months old.

The first one was obviously way too low, and his straps were too loose, if he had been buckled properly he wouldn't have been able to move that much and they probably wouldn't have chosen that video. the second kid's chest clip was a little low, but not nearly as bad.
