I am so excited that my DS and I decided to make a gingerbread house for Yule. I think it will be fun project!
I've never made one before but have looked into gingerbread and royal icing recipes. And we checked out the bulk candy at the store - good selection. We do not plan on eating the house - it will be for decoration only.
I am especially interested in using hard candy to make "glass" windows. Also I am not sure how long it takes royal icing to dry - super fast or ??
Anyone else made these or plan to? I'd love any advise :-)
