Confused...Sewing childrens pajamas

I am sewing matching Children's pajamas for my two girls.  I am almost done and I just reread the back of the pattern and noticed that it said "not intended for Children's sleepwear.  Uh...I chose the pattern out of the 'family sleepwear' section of a catalog.  It is toddler sizes 1-2-3.  So, what is up with that???

Probably a disclaimer so they can't ever get sued if something happens while someone is wearing these.

It's because of flammability laws.

I thought the flammability thing might be it.  Prob the same reason all the flannel at joann's said 'not intended for children's sleepwear,' too.

It may be that they are too 'loose fitting' especially if not using the flame-retardant flannel.  It's a function of looseness and flame retardant both - that's why you can find some close-fitting knit pjs in the store (with notes on them saying to wear them snug-fitting and that they are not flame retardant).

I made my ds those jammies and robe, they are super cute and comfortable!   

Just a suggestion - use snaps instead of buttons for the back of the neck bit, the buttons seem to come undone.

i would think it would be referring to the housecoat portion of it.  also on the pattern they have some really fluffly embellishments on it...that wouldn't be suitable.  the pattern itself is fine, i think they are referring to the "extras" that you can do to the pattern to make it "fun."  super cute.  good luck.

Right, it's a liability thing.  I make my DD's pjs, and I freaked out about the "not intended for use in children's sleepwear" note on the flannel I used at first.  But since we cosleep, it is really irrelevant. When DD is sleeping in her own room (someday) she'll know what to do in case of a fire.  It looks like you cosleep, too, so I wouldn't worry about that.  Make sure you have working smoke detectors and an "escape plan" for each room.  And have fun with the pjs!  I'm sure they'll be adoreable.
