Testing the week of Thanksgiving 11/22-11/28 - Page 3

I am 7 dpo. Having pinching where I think my left ovary is all day. Have no idea what that is about. SOOOOO irritable today. Biting DH's head off all day and almost cried over nothing. So I have raging PMS. I'm sad that that probably means I am not preggo. :-(

Soontobe: Sorry about the BFN. You know its still early though!

That is EXACTLY how I was today.  Bad cramping in the morning to the point it felt like I had just had  Pap smear or something.  Later in the day I felt right ovary pain/pinching and a weird tightness in my lower belly.  I was sooo grouchy with hubby and I teared up 3 times (2 Disney commercials and an episode of Supernanny).  Dork.

PMS and pregnant symptoms can be identical so don't read into it the other way either.  Having PMS symptoms does not mean you are not pregnant, just like pregnancy symptoms during LP doesn't mean you are pregnant.

Hang in there.

Bree, sorry about the BFN but I agree it is early.  Good luck!

Cindy, I agree - what you described could be pregnancy related.  There's still the possibility!

Saw HP7 tonight with a friend and noticed my breasts felt a bit tender when it was over.  Still do.  But only slightly...

i caved and testedhttp://canyouseealine.com/view_home_pregnancy_test.cfm?testID=9101   http://canyouseealine.com/view_home_pregnancy_test.cfm?testID=9103  It was a bfn at the 3min mark so I cracked it open, b/c the inner workings of these things intrigue me, then threw it out and went to yoga. When I came back, I took DS to pee (PT-ing this weekend), threw out a blank sticker sheet and saw my test. Evaps don't have color right?

Erin - I wouldn't trust the result of a blue dye test. We used to have a sticky thread (what happened to those??) about the heartbreak of blue dye false positives (with color and all!). Def spend the extra $$$ and confirm with a pink dye test. Good luck!

Erin I would test again in the morning just in case.  I know I read on Pee on a Stick.com that readings after the lapsed time are not valid and can give false positives.  I hope it's a BFP for you, but I'd test tomorrow just to be sure.

I have decided to wait until Wed to test.  How about the rest of you gals?  What is your plan?

I had BAD cramping yesterday and it was right sided which is really odd for me.  I'm wondering (hoping) if it was implantation.  I miscounted my days and yesterday was day 7-8 not 8-9.  If it was implantation, how many days until HCG starts being detectable?  Would Wed still be too early or is 5 days enough?

Ok, I'm starting to lose hope.  I got a headache today that seemed a lot like my pre-period headache that I get every month.  I'm 8dpo.  My husband seems to think we BD'd too early, however, we did on the day of O and 2 days before so I think the timing was right on.  Anyway, I don't think I'll have any trouble making it to Wednesday morning since I already am starting to think I'm out.  Good luck to the rest of you!

Soontobe: I think it would take at least 2 days from cramping. So perhaps tomorrow??

Erin: I wouldn't trust a blue dye! I hope it was a true BFP but I would definitely not get my hopes up until I tested again. Fingers crossed for you!

AFM: 8 dpo. Didn't test this morning. Teeniest tiniest crampy feelng in my uterus today. So mild that I could be imagining it and wishing for it. My temp was nice and high but I had some wine last night so that is probably why. I think it's fine to have some wine at this point still. Still SOO emotional today. I actually sat in the car and cried today bc I was feeling so annoyed over nothing really. Anyway, I will probably test in the morning. Or maybe try and wait until Tuesday.

It seems like 8dpo would be too early to right it off.  Since the embryo usually implants around 8-10 dpo in the majority of women, I think you should still have hope.  Hang in there.

As long as Wed isn't too early, then I'll wait for then.  Thanks.  Good luck to you...hope those were "good" cramps.

ITA with the ladies, Erin.  Also, here's some info from POAS about breaking open HPTs.

MM, 8 DPO is still so early.  Good luck!

Ending 7 DPO today.  Still have slight tender breasts and they feel a bit heavier.  Woke up with a headache that went away with food but now I have a headache again.

Just 3 more mornings until the POAS craziness begins! bouncy.gif  So we're testing the same day, Bree.  And maybe you too, Cindy, if you can hold out that long. :)

Hi Ladies!

I had cramping today.  On my left side only.  Alllll day.  These were real, honest-to-goodness cramps, not pinchy, twingey-things that I always imagine myself feeling ROTFLMAO.gif

Don't know how many dpo I am, I didn't chart this month.  But I'm at CD18.  So maybe 4 dpo?  Maybe 5 or 6?  Just going by CM, I would say that CD12 looked like a good day for BD'ing (which we did).  But I don't really know.

I'm trying so hard not to get excited.

Hoping that all these cryptic symptoms are good for all of us.  fingersx.gif

I'm now convinced the heartburn couldn't have been a pregnancy thing because it was too early.  Just in general, I can't have symptoms before implantation.  Duh.  I had cramping all day Saturday and a tad yesterday, but very bad on Saturday and it was mostly on the right side.  If that was real, then the timeline would add up because that would be within the 8-10dpo that "they" say the majority of women have implantation.  I guess we'll see. I am trying to remember that I have less than a week left to know for sure.  I have never ever ever been late with my period in 65 months of charting, so if I don't get my period by Saturday, I will know for sure.  In fact, if I don't get it by Friday, that's likely my answer too.  I expect to get it Thursday.  My usual luteal phase is 12-13 days with maybe 2-3 cycles where it was 14 days and more times when it was shorter than 12 days...in fact it used to be be 11 or shorter until I started progesterone.  I've never had a 15 day luteal phase.  I have work today and tomorrow and then I'm off for a week.  I'm going to test Wednesday which will be 12 days past peak day or 11 days past temp spike.

Baby dust to everyone!!!

Anyone know if a high soft and closed cervix is a good sign? We decided to start ttc after our loss last month and I am suppose to be getting my period sometime within the next week. In the past my cervix has only been this soft and high during ovulation, but I know for a fact that that already happened.... I also have had a TON of creamy white cm, to the point where I think AF might be here (but she isnt) and I have to wear pantiliners. I am nervous. I dont want to test until after AF is late and even then I am nervous because with my first miscarriage I never was able to get a + hpt and was only able to find out via a blood test that I was indeed pregnant. What do you ladies think?

I haven't read anything about cervical position before so I don't know.  How many dpo are you right now?  I know you said your period is due within the next week...like in the next couple days or at the end of the week?  I have read that increased CM can be part of it.  Baby dust to you!!!!!!!

Last night I was really irritable and cranky for no real reason so I assumed AF was on her way. But DH (love him!) went and grabbed the insert from my prescription progesterone box and lo and behold irritability is one of the possible side effects!  And I have been nauseous every night, but I figure that is another side effect of the progesterone.  Still hanging in there, waiting until Friday to test.  So when we spend Thanksgiving with DH's family on Saturday I will be either trying to hide my grief of another month of BFN, or hiding my excitement (DH does not want his family to know until we are at least 12 wks along).  Good luck everyone!!!

If I remember correctly I am due for AF around the 29th. The past two cycles I have Oed really early (on CD 9 of all days...) so yeah... I am bloated like crazy today too and my uterus feels sore, like after a bad night of contractions.... blah. I am 15 dpo I think? My luteal phase has been really long last cycle so I am assuming it will be this cycle too.

That doesn't sound right...maybe I missed something.  If you are 15 dpo, there's no way your period is due on the 29th.  It would be like...TODAY!  Most women have a LP of 14-15 days (or less), but one over 17-18 usually means pregnancy.  Could you have miscalculated your O date?  If you really are 15dpo, I'd test now.  If you really due for your period on the 29th, I'd wait until next week or at least later this week.  I don't think you can both be 15dpo AND not expecting your period for another 7 days.  Did I read you wrong?

Nope, you read right. I have been charting using fertilityfriend.com and last cycle I Oed on CD 9 (as I did this cycle). My cycles are always around 29-31 days long no matter what... with my first two pregnancies I Oed late in my cycles and since having had my daughters all of that has changed and now I am Oing on CD 9 for some crazy reason and my cycles are still very long..... so AF isnt expected until around the 29th of this month. Im going to test sometime this weekend if AF doesnt show this week.

So you have a 22 day luteal phase?  I have never ever heard of that.  I think there is a woman on another thread (ktbug or something like that) that was describing something similar.  ???
