Legal Separation and benefits

My daughter is disabled and receives SSI, we also receive food stamps and she is on Medicaid. My husband and I are separating, but not divorcing and I am wondering how this will affect the benefits we receive. My husband and I will be living in different states, where do we apply and how do I change these things?

I don't know about the disability part of it but what I do know is that when my ex left we qualified financially for food stamps and medicaid and wic and took it.  Because his income was gone and I was left with waitressing and child support, I qualified for those services.  You might get a little less in food stamps because a household member is gone but depending on how your income changes you may actually stay around the same or make more.  It's hard to say.  But you won't' NOT qualfiy anymore when your income is going down because a member is leaving the household.
