Nursing a 22 month old and am having trouble becoming pregnant

I have a five year old who was nursed until 25 months.  I was not able to get pregnant for another year after I stopped nursing.  Now I have a 22 month old also nursing and I have been trying to get pregnant  for a few months.  I am 38 and would like a 3rd child but my husband and I have agreed to not try too many more months.  My little one nurses a lot during the day and night. Any suggestions?
