Now, I'll start off by saying that I generally don't complain about WIC...I appreciate that it is there. I *really* appreciate that when I've needed it, I've always been able to borrow a Lactina pump from them free of charge. :)

They provide us with the goat's milk my kids need that I'd otherwise never be able to afford at 4 bucks a quart....and they've added a choice of fruits and vegetables as part of the food package along with many other things that really help make meals. This is good. (and with hubby not getting overtime and being laid off in a month, I'm even more grateful than usual for this)

Now--granted, I *did* let my mom (who lives with us) take the ONE vehicle the other day, and THEN I remembered I had an appointment for the 2 year old to be seen and get his checks.Â

This morning, I called in for a same-day appointment to make up for it. (that's what you have to do here, you either take a same day or you wait weeks for an actual scheduled one)

First thing the woman asks me is why I didn't come to the other one, THEN she tells me there's nothing available and I should call back MONDAY.

This is Wed. They take same day appointments every day.

So...I did apologize for my mistake, but I also--being in a snarky mood...said that it's really nice they want to punish my KID for the fact that we have *one* vehicle and I remembered after it was gone and I could do nothing about it.

AMAZINGLY ENOUGH--suddenly there's not one, but TWO options this afternoon.

I took the one that I knew I wouldn't be late for due to picking up oldest from school.Â
