Since yesterday, I've had a rash that seems to be spreading.  It started on my breasts and head and back of my neck.  It seems to be worse in areas that are touched more, or if I scratch someplace, it will turn really red and bumpy in the line that I scratched.  It has also spread to places that are not touched, and there are little red bumps all over my arms, hands, and stomach.  I haven't found any below my waist line yet, but it seems to be my entire upper body at this point.  I have no fever.  My nursling has been crabby and wanting to nurse and twiddle more than usual, which may or may not be related, but certainly isn't helping the rash situation on my breasts.  Nursing is tolerable but not comfortable.

I'm guessing this is an allergy of some sort, but I'm not sure what it would be to.  I haven't added any new foods to my diet recently.  I have been eating more leafy greens recently, but they are all ones that I ate in smaller quantities before.  A couple of weeks ago, I started using a new lotion, but it is herbal blend and has been used only on my hands, which did not start breaking out until this morning.  I have not been using any medications except some benadryl last night to help me sleep.  I don't know as it helped much.  I slept, but things are worse this morning.

My biggest concern right now is figuring out if I need to quarantine myself.  Since I don't have a fever, I'm inclined to believe that I am not contageous.  Of the rashes I know, I've had chicken pox and 5th disease.  Shingles is usually only on one side of the body, and my red bumps seem less pronounced than shingles would be.  My symptoms don't seem to match measles, mumps or rubella.  I was vaccinated against all 3 as a child but have not had my titers checked to know my immunity status.  Is there anything else contageous that I should be worried about, or should I just assume it's an allergy and try to care for it as such while not worrying about quarantining myself?
