Super Painful Nose; Advice? UPDATE - cured using neti pot!

I think I may have a pimple way up inside my nose. It feels like a bruise - about the size of a silver dollar; covering the left side of my nose, and upper cheek. It's definately something inside my nose though, when I feel around in there, I can pinpoint the spot the pain is stemming from. It feels like I got punched, though!

So what should I do? It's been getting worse all day and I can't stand it anymore. I tried putting some tea tree oil (diluted with water) up there with a cuetip a few minutes ago, but haven't tried anything else yet.

Sounds like a furuncle, and possibly one that's rather infected, given the spreading of the pain to the cheek. If it doesn't resolve promptly, or if you can see swelling, you're probably going to need systemic antibiotics. Don't poke at it--the area is known as the "danger triangle" for a reason.

Well, I never did find out for sure what it was, but here's how I made it go away in ONE day :)

Neti pot, warm purified water, and Himalayan pink sea salt - rinsed out my nose (both sides) about 7-8 times.

It worked like a charm, the swelling went down, pain mostly went away, and the next day it was gone!
