Cautiously introducing myself

Thread Starter

Hey there - I'm about 6 weeks pregnant (yay!) but scared out of my mind. It was planned, but I just have so much fear surrounding the health of my pea-sized baby. I had cramping and just a bit of light brown spotting over the weekend so I went to the doctor for blood work - my hcg was at 26,000 and my progesterone was at 16. I don't get a real appointment until December 6 - which seems SO far away!

How is everyone else dealing with worries of a healthy pregnancy?

Congratulations and welcome!  Your #'s sound good to me and brown spotting is a much better sign than pink or red!  As hard as it is to do, try to keep a positive attitude and tell yourself everything will be ok.  I like to "talk" to the baby and tell him/her how much we love and want him/her (that really helps me).  Also, trying to focus on eating healthy and exercising can be a good way to take your mind off troublesome thoughts.  GL to you!
