Diaper creams and cloth diapers?

My son has a nice diaper rash free bum at 2 months! Yay!!! I've used a very small amount of bum cream on his little creases maybe 4 times b/c they seemed a little red. Now that we're in cloth I'm eahring that some diaper creams can damage the cloth diapers. I don't use vaseline but have used a German diaper cream and I'm not sure if it's CD friendly or not. What damage does non CD friendly diaper rash cream do to CD's? Is Sudocream ok? What about Penaten? I have samples of both an will probably use them later on if I need to.

I haven't heard of those but we have freely used any diaper cream with no issues. I too had heard that, but the benefit of using them for my DS outweighed any absorbency issues, which we haven't even had to deal with after 18mo.
