Sign in pediatrician office

I hope this is okay to post here....

On another forum someone posted a picture of a sign that read,

"Parents, if you choose not to immunize your children, please thank those who do. They are protecting us all!"

They said that these signs were posted everywhere. I'm just...wow. Regardless of my decisions about vaccinations, I would NOT see a pediatrician who had such a passive aggressive, disrespectful sign.

Sheesh.  Just another reason to not choose a  ped and go w/ a family doc (or the like) if your child is unwell.

It would be nice (and even more accurate) if they replaced "immunize" with "breastfeed".

Sounds just like something that is probably hanging at my FORMER peds office.  Yea, dumped his @$$.

That was pretty much the consensus on the forum it was originally posted on. A few people were okay with/approved of it...but there were a LOT, vaxers and non-vaxers alike, who thought it was pretty terrible.

It seems to be that most people view it as a matter of respect...and those signs show disrespect. And, of course, they also show misinformation...the whole "free ride" BS. I'm sorry, but I didn't decline vax's for DS because I thought he would get a free ride. I declined vax's for DS because I felt the risks of the vaccines outweighed the risks of the diseases (for him), period.
