CD safe body lotions for eczema

Hello,

My 4 mo old DD has eczema, so I tried to keep her lubed up well!  Some of the lotion is bound to get on the cd though and I think that may be causing some repelling issues.  Anyone know of a cream that won't cause an issue?

Sorry no recommendations for the lotion - we used Berts Bees Intensive Therapy on DD's eczema - I don't recall that we had any issues but we didn't use it where her diaper was.  We had very good luck with supplementing her diet with Fish Oils  - we used a lemon flavored suspension and it worked great.

Not sure if any lotions will prevent diaper repelling. But, you can use liners - either disposable or use a face cloth insert as a liner etc. This way you can keep your diapers free from the oils in the lotions. You would need to wash the cloth inserts separatly though, I would guess.

Just wanted to update what a great company this is!  The original CJs BUTTer contains lanolin, and my DD apparently is sensitive to that.  When I e-mailed CJ, she said she put a tube of the BUTTer without lanolin in the mail for me to try!  And it worked beautifully!!  Now that kind of customer service is rare these days, and an excellent product to boot.  Wanted to share.

Just in case you want something else too (if you like variety. lol), I LOVE this stuff: Dermamed baby healing cream
For my ds, it works better than BUTTer, but it's a lot more expensive, and I know that the BUTTer works really well for lots of other people. And the CJ says BUTTer is cd safe. Dermamed doesn't make those claims (as far as I know), but I've not had trouble with it.

I've been using the BUTTer on DS's dry skin (possibly mild eczema?) and really like it.  Absolutely no issues with diapers, and we use all different kinds.  I also just got the tip of putting a tablespoon or so of olive oil into his bath every few days - his skin is SO soft when he comes out!

I should add a word of caution: the tub will be REALLY slippery after the olive oil.  It wipes out easily with some vinegar, though!

Looks like you chose one but I just thought I'd mention that we've used the following with no repellent issues (going on 15 mo or so of the current size pfs): Burts Bees, Lanisoh diaper cream, Butt Paste and another pharmacy mixed zinc oxide based cream, and Weleda. Coconut oil is a nice ointment that is healing. I agree with putting a liner in though to be on the safe side. We put a fleece liner in when his bottom is rashy anyway to wick more moisture from his skin. This was fleece fabric I purchased at the store, and washed and cut into rectangles when he was a newborn (he's about 20mo now).

Homestead Company makes a product called Eczema Oil that is amazing, and won't hurt the diapers.
