Infantino Baby Front Carrier

Product name: Infantino Baby Carrier

Brief description of product: Sort of a snugli-type front pack that converts to a backpack

Store/Site of purchase: BabiesRUs

Price: $30

How long have you used this product? Bought it 2 years ago, only used it for a few, painful minutes on a few, stupid days

Fit/Sizing: Fits Everyone.....

Performance: Awful. The straps dig, the baby flops around, the snaps came undone.... Totally insecure. Gave me a backache after 3 minutes. Left awful red marks on my shoulders.

Have you made a complaint to the WAHM about the product? If yes, please provide details of any resolution or lack thereof

Performance: I used it and boy was that painful! The shoulder straps dug into my shoulders so bad and my lower back hurt also.

Workmomship: It is poorly made and poor design and I do not recommend it!

Would you purchase this product again? Never, and I would not suggest to or buy for anyone else.

Additional Comments: When she was forward facing, I put her in to go for a walk and before I left the house, it broke !!

Brief description of product: front forward or rear facing carrier

Store/Site of purchase: Recieved as a gift.

How long have you used this product? I used it a lot at first, and am starting to use it again as ds can now face forward.

Fit/Sizing: adjustable

Performance: Not bad, The good points were that it was comfortable for me since the weight was distributed on both shoulders, and when ds was very young, he was comfortable in the forward facing position. The problems I had were that between about 2 - 2 1/2 months, he was very restless facing me, but wasn't ready to face forwards, and the straps slipped and he sank down after being in the carrier for a while, so I always have to re-adjust. (My dh seems to be more comfortable with it than I am, but he is quite tall and I think it just fits him well)

Workmamship: Mine seems OK, but the straps don't stay put, especially with a heavier baby

Customer Service/Communication:n/a

Would you purchase this product again? I don't know. I like having both a sling and a front carrier, but might explore other brands of front carriers if I'm in the market again.

Product name: infantino

Brief description of product:
similar to a baby bjorn, baby faces out on chest/back, hangs from two straps on your shoulders (no pads)
Store/Site of purchase: hand me down

Price:

How long have you used this product?
we used it a couple of months
Fit/Sizing: fits all sizes

Performance: at first we liked it because it was better than a one shoulder sling, in that it distributes weight on both shoulders. Also our baby liked to look outwards on our chests. But then, as she got a little bigger (3-4 mo) it hurt like heck on my shoulders and has been unusable

Additional Comments: I can't recommend this one because all the weight is on your shoulders and between your shoulder blades and it hurts to use it. There are products that distribute the weight also to your waist (ergo, papatum, mei tai). Also, the baby "hangs' in an ackward position rather than seated in a pouch.
