My beautiful DD had some bloodwork done to rule out precocious puberty. She just turned 9, and has started developing public hair. Bone age was normal. But the bloodwork showed elevated DHEAS (129, normal less than 92) and 17-hydroxy (171, normal less than 72). Please tell me this could be something besides an adrenal tumor. She is going to see a pediatric endocrinologist but not until the middle of January. I may have a stroke by then, I'm so worried.
