I have started to make the Shrug from "The Art of Crochet".    In the 3rd foundation row the pattern says :

 

1 ch, 1 dc into first dc, miss 2ch sp, *7tr into next 5ch arch**, 1 dc into next arch, 5ch, 1 dc in next arch, rep from *, ending last rep at **, 1 dc into last dc, turn. 

 

The problem is ending the last rep.  The way the pattern reads, you have to stop at 7 tr.  However that leaves one 5ch arch with nothing in it, and it is impossible to do a dc into the last dc without leaving a hole. 

 

Any suggestions?  It seems there could be a mistake in the pattern......
