Skinny boy 7 month old and 13lbs  24 inches has outgrown the bummies CD system.

I was not good at CD him every time he poops it gets on the cover. and a lot of times the covers are wet

I'm sure it's our technique but we can't find a second.

He has special needs and I can't find time to research but I really need to get him new diapers

this is my last baby all of my kids are small (30 lbs 5 years old)

I was looking at FB or BG?

I have hemp/cotton doublers

I want to spend $100 or less

I wash every two days with 5 covers

I always just use the sanitize cycle

My husband wants to quit if we can't find some that work.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for any advice

Our FuzziBunz have been the only diapers we've used since DD was about 4 months old and they're awesome! The MF inserts are 4 layers so they're super absorbent, and if you have doublers already they should be perfect for overnights. Plus, FBs are very sturdy, yet super soft and hold up very well over time. Since your LO is so small, I'd probably recommend either the Perfect Size Smalls, or the OS diapers. If you only have $100 to spend, you could look online for used diapers (like on Ebay or the DiaperSwappers FSOT) and find some excellent deals! If you wanted to buy them new, $100 would get you about 6 diapers as the Perfect Sizes are $14.95 right now I think. For a 7 month old you might need more than that, unless you're just using them specifically for overnights and then 6 should cover it. Oh, and if you do want to buy them new, www.fuzzibunzstore.com has free shipping (no minimum) and they ship very quickly. Hope this helps! :)

it's normal for the covers to get dirty- most poops need a cover change for me (though the jelly roll fold is supposed to hold it in I haven't looked it up) . I usually just alternate between two covers a day or two (then the pee dries) unless it gets poop on it then it goes in the pail.

I hear good things about FB and use some BG but they are hard to deal with sometimes they can have repelling issues and stink problems and both systems are fairly pricey. I would ilke to use my BGs for overnights but my daughter sleeps on her side, so she ends up wet even with most of the covers I've tried. That's a problem that all the pockets have.

with your budget I'd consider a fitted diaper, with inserts they can be used overnight no prob, too. I am usually using bumboos overnight with three doublers and a fleece cover or 1 liner during daytime with a PUL cover.

but I recently bought an AMP I am just waiting to try till I get it prepped

and I am plannong to buy one of these

the fitted dipes are pretty fool proof and in the US you will have a better selection (I like to buy Canadian) but I hear really good things about this one

and the prices are fantastic

As far as fitteds, we really like the Motherease One Size.  We use Fuzzi Bunz pockets and never have leaking issues at nap.  Occasionally we do at night because my guy pees a bucket, but we've had leaking issues with sposies, too, with my other kids (Charlie has used very few sposies in his life, so maybe things have improved in the last 6 years since I've bought sposies).
