Oak Meadow 5th grade

Thread Starter

I was just wondering if anyone has used it before. We have never done Oak Meadow.

We have been doing an eclectic Charlotte Mason curriculum loosely using Winter Promise

but I am ready for a change. I think my daughter would really enjoy Oak Meadow.

How much time does it take per day?

Do you feel like you need to add anything to the program?

Thanks so much.

I have it but have not really followed it to the letter all the way through.  I do love Oak Meadow though, and since we have become a bit more structured in our approach have been using grades 4 and 5 math and grade 6 social studies.  It's a very creative, free-flowing curriculum easily adaptable to the needs of your child.  You might want to check out this OM forum: http://oakmeadow.yuku.com/directory you might get more responses there.

There's a yahoo group too that I used to read. It is good for chatting with families using it. I can dig up a link, maybe...somewhere.

It is linked-to (or at least used to be) from OM's site.

There's another yahoo group for buying and selling OM curricula and materials.
