I'm just curious, because they go to the same weight, does the nautilis have higher strap slots? I know the myride has a shorter shell than other convertibles with the same weight.Â

Well you can't really compare the two because the My Ride is a convertible (rear facing to forward facing) and the Nautilus is a combo seat (harness to booster, does not rear face). So if the child is rear-facing, then obviously you'd want the MR or some other convertible. If the child is forward facing though, then the Nautilus is a fine choice.

I know they each have different functions and different set ups, I was specifically wondering about forward-facing harnessed, though I don't think I was clear enough about that in my original question. I'm trying to determine if it would be worth looking into the Nautilus after DD has outgrown her myride, if it would give a significant amount of additional time harnessed.Â

Its around 2" of extra torso room, which could be 4" or more of overall height growth. Â
Â
I would go to toys r' us and stick your dd in one and see how she compares, and then decide weather the extra growth is worth it/needed. Â Weather or not I'd buy it to harness for an extra few inches would depend on how old/mature the child is at the time the MR is getting close to outgrown. Â
Â
Also if you had a younger child you could pass the MR down...Â
Â
Either way the nautilus also makes a good booster, so you could use it harnessed for a bit and then in booster mode. Â
