Water Crocks- are they safe?

I am looking to get a water dispenser for my 2 LOs to get their own water.  Something not too big.  I have seen some great stainless steel ones that would be perfect except that they cost ~$125!

It seems the best option is probably a water crock with a lid.  I am wondering of there are any safety concerns with those?  They are made of ceramic.

Thanks!

Hey. I used to work for a water company. One of those places that deliver the 5 gal jugs to biz around town and we sold the ceramic water dispensers. You could put a 2 or 5 gal jug of h2o on it and there was a despenser thingy. I think they were perfectly safe. The gallons are steralized and refilled with h2o and they also had glass bottles of 'spring' water that you could purchace. Im sure you could just refill them at home to with tap water or filtered. :)
