Shannon, what a great service you're doing parking at the hospital every day with a pro-bf sticker! Woo hoo!

I checked out those websites, but I like sticker that says the same thing better than the one I saw. It was from the Attachments catalogue. I can't think of the website and am just too tired to try to find the mothering mag, but their ad is in there. I really liked that sticker on the devrock (?) website mentioned that says: Human Milk for little humans, cow milk for little cows. But I feel guilty for my love of cheese and can't buy it

I did a co-op awhile back and we order window clings... one of them was Human Milk for Human Babies. Maybe if you post on the TP someone might have an extra. I may have an extra myself, but I'll have to dig through my stuff to see. I'm not as organized these days!

You can make your very own at www.bumperstatements.com
Its fun and you can get your own point made!
Mine Currently says < babies have a right to breastfeed. Just do
it>

Laura

After reading this thread again I told DH that I want a sticker for the car and he won't let me!

Maybe if I don't permanently attach it and just tape it to the back window. It would probably take months for him to notice anyway.

you can always attach it to a magnet (you can get them at Office Depot/Staples, etc.) and take it off whenever. DH is a big fan of those, since they don't mar the car.

thanks for all the links! i still can't find the one i'm thinking of. i think it had a cow on it too? or a LLL emblem? arrghh, should have bought it when i saw it the first time. although, when i do find it, i'll probably prefer one of the others now!

I just ordered a Human Milk for Human Baby window cling from Mommascrunchymonkeys (I just love her name!)

Were you thinking of the t-shirt at the bottom of this page?

I actually wrote that sticker, and I'm a cheese-lover myself. I'm not non-dairy at all. The only point I was trying to make when I wrote that sticker is that cow milk is not the right milk for human babies.

advocacy without malice

I just want to thank all ya'll who support breastfeeding with stickers and shirts like "Human milk for human babies" instead of anti-bottle messages.

I work and pump--DH stays home with DS and feeds him with bottles. It just works for us right now, as DH is a grad student (who put up with my 8 years of grad school). I get upset when I see advocacy materials that put down all bottle feeding. My son gets the best nourishment I can provide, and he gets it while snuggling with Daddy. Pumping and working isn't easy, but the health benefits are worth it.

Moms who have to return to work need a lot of support to continue breastfeeding. They don't need snotty negative comments. Good for all of you for finding positive messages!

jax, i'm right there with you! i work FT and DS is in daycare and gets EBM in bottles. it's the only time he gets bottles and i nurse whenever i get the chance, and i certainly don't think that makes me less of a nursing mama!

the bottle's not the problem, and it's not even always what's in the bottle -- i'm as supportive of women who nurse some period of time versus none or who just supplement with formula versus give all formula all the time. the more, the better!

Jax,
My hats off to you for your dedication.
