Filling the AquaDoula Question

My DH was reading the instructions for the AquaDoula we'll be using (hopefully soon!) and it had all sorts of cautions about how high to fill it. I believe it said that ideally it should be filled two inches from the top. But I'm wondering if that's WITH the mama in the tub or not. I'm worried that he'll fill it up perfectly and then the water will slosh over the sides when I get in it.

I thought mine said 6 inches from the top. I'm a bigger girl so DW filled it to about 10 inches from the top. It worked well and then there was room to add a bit more hot water after a while. I would think 2 inches would be too full.

Why not do a test run? Get in prior to the tub being filled all the way?
