I had to have a root canal last week, and I didn't know how long it would take. My 8 month old does not take bottles at all, solely BFed, but I had nothing pumped, so we picked up a small can of formula and a bottle just in case I was gone too long. We also packed a jar of baby food in hopes that DH could keep him happy with just that if it came to it.
Luckily, it didn't take very long, and as soon as it was done, I went out to the waiting area and scooped up DS to nurse while most everyone in the waiting area tried not to look at me. I asked DH if he had had to use the formula, and he said no. I said that I was glad, and he responded, "yeah, people shouldn't do that in public, ya know?" :LOL :LOL (I know that was overheard.)
