DD is only 14 months and still in soft leather shoes. With two older sisters though we are outside ALOT! What kind of boots do i get? I dont think she can walk in hard soles yet. thanks!

I was just ready to post pretty much the exact same question about 15 mo old DS.  Thanks for beating me to it!  I would prefer not to spend much money and I haven't seen anything in the thrift stores though I've been checking.  Everything in the stores seem to be for a bigger child.

Stonz work for us! They're soft and flexible and waterproof and will fit over pretty much any toddler shoes with no problem. And the soles are soft and easy to walk in.

I can't say enough about the Stonz! They worked fabulously for us last winter.

I have these, Molehillhttp://www.molehillmtn.com/content-categories/cat-180_193_204/sno_moc_shelled_booties.html. Sorry I haven't figured out the link set up. They're not quite as cute as the Stonz, but a little cheaper. I found my pair at a thrift store for a few dollars and will be testing them out this year with my soon to be 1 yr old.

We did Stonz last winter when DD was 14 mths. Loved, loved, loved them!

This year, though, we are doing 'real' boots with a yucky hard sole becuase DD will be walking in the snow more and needs insulation from the bottom :(
