potty learning: ok to use a boy doll to train a girl?

Okay, this is sort of a weird question....I'd like to work on potty learning with dd over the Thanksgiving weekend, and I want to do the method where the child teaches the doll to use the potty.  This worked great for my ds.  Problem is, I only have an anatomically correct boy doll that wets.  Do I need to buy a girl doll?  Does it matter?  What would you do? I'm inclined to just use the boy doll--dd is pretty familiar with the potty and how to use it, and she often asks me to take off her diaper to use the potty, so I'm thinking the doll will just reinforce the ideas.  And she knows a little about boy anatomy anyway from watching her big brother.  Mostly I'm just too lazy and cheap to buy a new one.  Thoughts?

Are you asking because you're not sure whether you can sit the doll on the potty (as opposed to have the boy stand up)? If that's the issue - just sit the boy down ;) My hubby and son sit to pee.

If it's the anatomical thing, I'd say - eh, who cares. It will also present itself as a wonderful opportunity to talk about the correct terms for boys and girls parts!  :)

Oh, the dolls sits on the potty just fine.  It's mostly just that I don't want her to reject the doll because it doesn't look like her or something.  But I'm probably just overthinking.
