Can you look at these pics of my DD's chin:

Is this eczema?

It started just as I started solids (sweet potato and banana) AND stopped drinking milk. She's also teething so there has been lots of saliva around her mouth. No other changes that I can think of.

I'm not sure what to do, if anything. Please advise! TIA

Yep, looks like eczema to me.  :(

Could be the solids- you might try stopping them for a few days and see if it improves.  OR, it could be something in your diet if you just made changes there too.  When you stopped drinking milk, did you replace it with something else (like soymilk)?

Thanks, changingseasons.

Yes, I replaced milk with rice milk and almond milk - but I didn't completely cut dairy out, I mostly wanted to see if there was an improvement in DDs morning dried snotty nose, which she has had for awhile.

I guess I'll stop solids for a few days and go back to my regular diet to see if the eczema will clear - there seems to be a new patch cropping up on her face greensad.gif

I hate to say this, but you need to cut dairy out COMPLETELY before you can determine whether it is causing a problem.    It took me a while to finally come around to this realization, and the women on this forum kept saying, "cut it ALL out." They were right.   Were you eating almonds and rice before you started drinking them as milk? O r were they new additions to your diet?
