Baby's Movements - I think I feel it Doctor say NO - Not til 20-25 weeks with my SECOND child? - Page 3

Most moms can feel movements between 14 and 17 weeks and many feel them earlier with subsequent pregnancies. 20-25 weeks really is late... kind of odd that this is the information your doc is giving you. Enjoy feeling those little wiggles! :)

That's what I told DH, that's more than half the pregnancy without feeling nothing. I asked him in disbelief if it was that late with DS and he said no, it was 4 months with him.

I seem to feel it most later at night and if I'm on my side. Like my belly is kinda constricting room a teeny bit where the part rests on the bed and LO is wiggling away in there. :P

DH has a nightly, well, almost nightly, ritual of listening to the baby seeing if he can feel it wiggling and hear it's heartbeat by lying his ear on my belly. :) It's a nice way to bond before those outside kicks are felt, which I expect to be my Christmas gift, seeing as I'll hit 20-21 weeks around Christmas time. :)

I have my new HCP picked out already. She's a midwife that comes recommended. I'm excited to try a midwife this time around vs a family doctor. :)

Yay! Those little wiggles are the best.

I used a midwife with both of my births and really loved them. I hope you have a great first appointment with your new care provider. Please keep us updated. :)

I was feeling flutters at 13 weeks with my first, and a shocking 10 weeks with this little one.  I felt distinct movements by 12 weeks with this one.

If lying on my side it's typically on the spot between belly and bed.

Wrong.  Doctors are idiots, IMO (ok, just most).  They learn how to treat DISEASE with PHARMACEUTICALS.  That's it.  I felt the twins at 10 weeks.  I trust a woman's intuition over an allopathic doctor any day of the week.

wow. that is so crazy, and untrue!  I felt my first, for sure, at 14 weeks exactly- it was unmistakably NOT gas. ;-)  It's really rare to feel it that early in 1st pregnancies, but I'd just had surgery where they had literally lifted the uterus up and worked under it, then put it back, I think it positioned it better for the feeling!

This time, was about the same time, and again, it was unmistakable.... and by 15 it was consistant, my first flutters this time, though were at only 13 weeks.
