New to N Raleigh, Soon New Momma.. Needs an Open-Minded Pediatrician

Hey there, Just moved down here from Lancaster, Pa. Expecting my first child Dec 7.. and have had a block on finding delayed or even no vaccine pediatrician. I saw peds in Durham... but was hoping to find one a little bit closer to N. Raleigh. Any help would be great!! Thanks!

I'm not 100% sure what you want the Dr's to say or not say but I use Jeffers, Mann & Artman Peds, and we go to the Clayton division because we live in Clayton but they have several locations.  I will say that I've seen some peds in there that are less open minded than the one I LOVE but we use Dr Lori Langdon when we go in for anything.  We delay and selective vax and she's never once questioned me on, just smiles and says ok.

You can read about them each in a bio on the JMA peds website as well and pick one to make the appts with based on that.  I don't know if Dr Langdon works at any of the other locations or not.  Dr Lobesio is great too (male).

Dr Langdon has 4 or 5 kids, nursed them all until they weaned themselves, barely watch TV and are very natural minded, hell I'd drive to the location she was at just to use her, personally.

I think a lot of MDC mamas in the Raleigh/Cary area like Dr Cindy Young. She's a MDC member, too! Hopefully someone who sees her or maybe Dr Young herself will chime in and tell you more about her. I'm not in Raleigh so not a patient of hers.

Seems like a lot of people like Dr. Jeffries in N. Raleigh but if I remember correctly, there was a post recently that he wasn't accepting new patients?  Maybe you can call and find out for sure.  I think he's very open to all kinds of things.  http://www.doctorjeffries.com/

I see Cindy Young in Cary and love her but I would think she would be QUITE a hike from N. Raleigh - maybe just as far as Durham Peds was for you.

I didn't realize there was a Dr in Clayton that was ok with delayed/no vax. I drive to all the way to Cary to go to Dr. Young. I like her a lot so we'll stay there but it's good to know there's also one near by.

Hi, I am also from PA. North of Scranton, and just moved down last year!

We see Dr, Young in Cary. She is awesome, and rad at the same time.  No vacs..no problems..

We moved from NY in August.  I haven't been to Dr Young yet, but that is who I plan to go to.  

My husband's coworker asked me if I had found a pedi yet, since her son is almost 2 and she still hasn't found one she liked.  I told her about Dr Young, and she got an appointment very fast and was very happy.  They live in N Raleigh, so I don't know what the commute was but i guess it was worth their while.
