Toe Walking Teenager

Thread Starter

Hi guys, My oldest daughter has Aspergers and has been toe walking a LOT. She is 14, has severe sensory integration, but has never really toe walked until recently. For the last month or so, she has been toe walking about 80 percent of the time. I am wondering if this is common for HFA, to start toe walking during the teen years. Thanks!

It's my understanding that toe-walking is a sensory thing and is related to the vestibular system.  Has anything happened recently that might have thrown that off balance?  Maybe an ear infection?
