I'm in. Well, except for the local, organic, grass-fed beef ranch near me is having a black Friday sale. But I'm not buying anything I can't eat!

I generally refuse to leave the house on Black Friday.  My boys and I pull out the Christmas decorations, simmer a nice pot of soup all day long, and listen to Christmas music while we decorate. Far better memories to make than sitting in line at the mall!

We tend to get food out and go look at the German Market and decorations.  We used to watch the Chicago XMAS tree lighting but they do that on Wed afternoon now so they don't have to pay overtime. but no real shopping

no money so by default it will be a buy nothing day  however the few gifts i am buying will come locally so i have a little more time to get those. i do not do black friday!

I'm in!  I will be visiting friends six hours away and will be happily sewing and playing with my son and her two daughters all day long.  I can't wait to not set foot in the stores on Friday!  Woo Hoo!!

I'm in!! I hate Black Friday craziness. I feel people get caught up in the "deals" and buy stuff they otherwise wouldn't have.

I'm participating in buy nothing day, but not by choice :( DH is working so I need to be home with the kiddo! 

I went last year and actually had a lot of fun. I didn't buy much at all- mostly just took in the sights- I was completely amazed with how many people were out waiting for stores to open or unwrap the big deals.

I'm not planning to go the stores, too much craziness for me, but DH needs a new winter coat and I might buy one online if I can find a good deal!

I have never done Black Friday.  This year I was planning on doing it as we bought a new house and need a ton of stuff but after I saw that many places have now extended it to Thursday, I can't knowingly participate in it.

That's what we do as well.  This year we may have some friends coming over to help put up the trees (I think DH has finally balked at setting them up alone) so we might make eggnog and have a mini party.

DS and I will decorate his tree together.  I'll do the others alone.  DH hates decorating trees.  His mother ruined that for him as a child.  :(

I'm staying out of the stores as well!  I'll spend my morning taking down my fall/harvest decorations, and I'm working in the afternoon.  No shopping for me!

I might sneak over to Starbucks for a coffee though...

I'm making turkey stock out of the carcass and cleaning up from last night. I've already determined that if it's not something tucked away in the basement from past bargain shopping, nobody's getting it this year. Budget is just too tight.

No Black Friday craziness for me.  We grocery shopped and we'll be hitting the dollar store for a few things we needed anyway.  But that's it.  I don't do Black Friday.
